EDEN STANDARDS

EDEN develops Standards to provide members and electronic discovery vendors best-practices guidance in all facets of the e-discovery process – the identification, extraction, preservation, processing, search, review and production of electronically stored information.

EDEN Standards are presented from the viewpoint of technical personnel supporting electronic discovery in litigation, are designed to be practical in nature, and include both broad principles governing general conduct and specific procedures and protocols guiding day-to-day e-discovery tasks.

Development of EDEN Standards is the responsibility of the EDEN Standards Council. Each EDEN Standard is developed in accordance with the EDEN Standards Lifecycle, which begins with the Preliminary Release of a proposed standard, progresses through comment, revision, and review stages, and culminates with the adoption of an EDEN Standard.
